From working in a fabric store I had had a lot of experience cutting and measuring burlap. Until I actually bought some burlap and sewed with it, I'll admit it.... I hated it! With a passion! I hated it being scratchy, the airborne burlap threads flying in my face, the smell; I could probably continue this list. But, as I said before, I hated it until I sewed with it! It sews up a lot easier than one would imagine rolling out it off of the huge bolt. It has a really cool ability to display other fabrics behind it because it is woven so loosely and it holds up surprisingly well after being sewn. Pair it with some floral fabrics, decorative stitching, and a covered button and I'm in love! Although there are only two currently listed on my Etsy shop, I plan on making some more available very soon.

P.S. Another thanks to my very awesome friend Joanna for taking the stylish and oh so appropriate pics for the Burlap Mini.
